The RV Industry Association is the national trade association representing RV manufacturers and component parts suppliers who build more than 98% of all RVs produced in the U.S. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the association unifies the industry around safety and professionalism, working with federal and state agencies to protect members' interests. As an industry clearinghouse, it provides free consumer materials about RV travel and camping while maintaining an inspection program monitoring compliance with ANSI/NFPA 1192 standards for plumbing, heating, fire/life safety, and electrical systems. RVIA also offers ongoing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards education for members.
