Getting Started with Expert Services
Overview
What Is Services?
Services is how you package your expertise into a discoverable, bookable offering on Helios. Create a structured service listing with defined scope, pricing, and deliverables; and businesses can find, evaluate, and request your help directly, without a gig application process. Once a business sends a request, Helios guides both parties through proposal, contract signing, billing, and completion all inside the platform.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Services
- Treat your listing like a proposal you'd send to a new client. The clearer your process and deliverables, the faster a business can evaluate fit and request your service with confidence.
- Work Samples are the single most impactful addition to any service listing. Real examples of past deliverables turn a description into proof. Add at least one before publishing.
- Publish separate listings for each distinct service you offer rather than one broad listing. Businesses search for specific help. A focused listing title and description surfaces much better in filtered searches.
- Respond to service requests promptly. Response time is a trust signal. Businesses comparing multiple experts will often choose the one who engages first.
- Use the Messaging tab to clarify scope before submitting your proposal. Resolving ambiguity early prevents scope creep and protects both parties after the contract is signed.
