Welcome to Helios — a human-led, AI-powered opportunity platform for the global manufacturing community. Helios connects companies, experts, students, and vendors to collaborate, learn, and solve real-world manufacturing challenges.

These Community Guidelines exist to protect our users and uphold the professional, ethical, and productive culture that makes Helios valuable. By using Helios, you agree to follow these Guidelines in addition to our [Terms of Service].


  1. Be Authentic and Professional

Helios is built for real people, real expertise, and real opportunities.

✔️ Do

  • Use your real identity and accurate details about your skills, roles, certifications, and company background.
  • Represent your skills, work history, projects, and capabilities truthfully.
  • Use Helios professionally and respectfully, as you would with real customers, colleagues, and suppliers.

❌ Don’t

  • Create fake identities or misrepresent your qualifications, certifications, or affiliations.
  • Borrow or impersonate another user’s identity, profile, or company logo.
  • Upload achievements, project photos, certifications, or capabilities that you cannot verify.
  1. Use Helios for Manufacturing-Relevant and Productive Activity

Helios exists to support the manufacturing ecosystem — from ideation and engineering to machining, quality, compliance, supply chain, and launch.

✔️ Do

  • Post knowledge, work, opportunities, and questions relevant to manufacturing, engineering, machinery, operations, compliance, business growth, or professional development.
  • Share helpful insights, standards, practical guides, case studies, or solutions.
  • Use Helios tools (Task posts, Gigs, Company Profile, Expert Profile, Uploads) as intended.

❌ Don’t

  • Post irrelevant promotional content or personal marketing unrelated to manufacturing.
  • Use Helios to solicit outside services unrelated to the platform’s purpose.
  • Upload hobby content or unrelated commercial ads (crypto, coaching, dropshipping, etc.).
  1. Protect Privacy, Security, and Confidentiality

✔️ Do

  • Respect others’ data, privacy, and confidential information.
  • Share files, images, drawings, manuals, or processes only if you have rights to share them.
  • Use strong passwords and keep your account secure.

❌ Don’t

  • Request or share confidential production data, trade secrets, protected supplier pricing, proprietary CAD files, classified components, or customer-restricted IP without authorization.
  • Share personal information about customers, employees, or companies.
  • Attempt to access or use another person’s account.
  1. No Spam, Manipulation, or Platform Misuse

✔️ Do

  • Share relevant content responsibly and respectfully.
  • Use Helios communication tools for legitimate professional purposes.

❌ Don’t

  • Send mass messages, unsolicited promotions, chain letters, or repeated self-advertising.
  • Manipulate visibility, ratings, reviews, or visibility using false accounts or incentives.
  • Use bots, crawlers, scraping tools, automation, scripts, or software to collect data or interact with Helios.
  1. Zero Tolerance for Violence, Misbehavior, Hate, or Illegal Activity

❌ Prohibited on Helios:

  • Harassment, hate speech, bullying, intimidation, defamatory attacks, or discrimination.
  • Threats, violence, promoting weapons misuse, terrorism, forced labor, or human trafficking.
  • Uploading harmful software, malware, fraudulent messages, phishing, or illegal services.
  • Sharing counterfeit goods or facilitating stolen equipment/parts.
  1. Respect Intellectual Property & Licensing Rights

✔️ Do

  • Upload only work, designs, photos, or documents that you own or have rights to share.
  • Credit source materials when possible.

❌ Don’t

  • Copy, reshare, or resell expert content, manuals, CAD files, training materials, or videos without permission.
  • Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices from content.
  1. Reporting Violations & Enforcement

If you see something harmful, abusive, fraudulent, illegal, or unsafe, report it through in-platform tools or contact support@helios.supplies.

Enforcement actions may include:

  • Content removal
  • Warnings
  • Feature restrictions
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account ban
  • Legal cooperation if applicable


Applies to all Experts, Consultants, Vendors, Freelancers, and Trainers offering paid work on Helios.

Helios enables Experts to offer paid consulting, services, micro-tasks, mentorship, training, content, and hands-on manufacturing support. To protect companies, students, and the credibility of experts on the platform, the following rules apply.

  1. Deliver Work You Are Qualified to Perform

Experts must:

  • Accept work only if you are capable of completing it safely and competently.
  • Disclose your level of involvement (remote advisory vs. full delivery).
  • Clarify limitations (ex: no programming without machine access, no legal certification claims, etc.).

❌ Do NOT:

Claim skills, certifications, or machine experience you do not have.

Provide advice outside your competency (ex: legal compliance if you are not certified, aerospace tolerances without qualification, etc.).

  1. Provide Clear Scope, Deliverables & Limitations

Before accepting paid work, Experts must:

Provide scope, timeline, deliverables, boundaries, and what data is required.

Never begin work until the company has explicitly agreed.

Paid Scope Must Include (as applicable):

Task description

Required files (ex: STEP, DXF, CAM, drawings)

Deliverables (ex: CAM program, quote list, fixture, report, consultation notes)

Limitations (ex: liability, assumptions, machine constraints)

  1. Prioritize Safety, Compliance & IP Protection

Experts MUST:

Respect all IP rights and NDAs provided by clients.

Ensure advice does not lead to unsafe practices, machine damage, or quality non-conformance.

Recommend industry-appropriate standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001, OSHA, IEC when applicable).

❌ DO NOT:

  • Share confidential materials with outside parties.
  • Upload customer files onto other platforms without permission.
  • Provide counterfeit, stolen, or unlicensed manufacturing content.
  1. Honest Rates, No Undisclosed Fees

Experts must:

  • Provide accurate pricing without hidden fees.
  • Inform clients of cost changes before performing additional work.
  • Use Helios payment flow unless otherwise authorized.
  • Unethical conduct
  • Price baiting, sudden fee increases, pay-to-unlock files, “per-iteration” exploitation, selling reused files to multiple clients if ownership wasn’t agreed.
  1. No Reuse of Client IP Without Permission

Files, code, fixture designs, inspection reports, drawings, and custom CAM strategies belong to the client unless the contract states otherwise.

  • Experts MAY keep generalized learning (ex: feeds & speeds knowledge)
  • Experts MAY NOT reuse client files or sell them to others without written permission.
  1. Cancellations, Disputes & Refunds

Helios may:

  • Facilitate refunds for non-delivery or unethical work.
  • Suspend accounts where harmful or dishonest practices are found.

Clients must:

  • Provide required files/data promptly.
  • Not misuse submitted samples or unpaid demo work.

Helios Ratings & Review Policy

Reviews on Helios help the community find trustworthy experts, vendors, and machining partners. To keep ratings accurate and fair, Helios enforces the following rules.

  1. Ratings Must Reflect Real Experience

Only users who have meaningfully interacted or transacted with an expert may leave a rating or review.

Valid interactions:

  • Paid tasks or gigs
  • Free consultation or assessment
  • Training, mentorship, guidance
  • Verified project collaboration
  1. Reviews Must Be Honest, Clear & Relevant

Users MUST:

Describe specific outcomes, performance, communication, and professionalism.

Provide constructive, fact-based comments.

Reviews that WILL be removed:

🚫 Fake praise or malicious reviews

🚫 Revenge or retaliatory comments

🚫 Off-topic personal attacks

🚫 Reviews based on speculation or assumptions

  1. No Incentivized, Fake, or Manipulated Reviews

It is strictly prohibited to:

  • Offer gifts, discounts, or payment in exchange for reviews.
  • Use alternate accounts to post self-reviews.
  • Coordinate “review trades” between users.
  1. Experts Cannot Pressure Clients for Reviews

Experts may ask politely, but must not:

  • Harass or repeatedly message clients requesting ratings.
  • Offer incentives in exchange for 5-star ratings.
  • Threaten consequences for negative reviews.
  1. Helios May Investigate & Remove Reviews

Helios can remove or hide reviews if:

  • Evidence of manipulation exists.
  • The review violates Community or ToS policies.
  • The reviewer did not meaningfully interact with the expert.
  • Repeated dishonest review behavior may lead to:
  • Feature restrictions
  • Rating removal
  • Account suspension or ban
  1. Dispute Resolution

If you believe a rating is unfair:

Submit documentation or evidence of the work performed.

Helios may mediate review disputes based on files, message logs, or delivery proof.

Resolution decisions may permanently update your rating history.
